Application Instructions – General Procedure:
- Adjust pH to 7.4 – 7.6.
- Slowly add the recommended dosage of Power Chlor into the skimmer with the filter pump running in the normal filtration mode. CAUTION: Never broadcast this product directly into pools with bleachable surfaces, including vinyl, painted, fibreglass or coloured plaster.
- Continue to operate the pump for at least 2 – 4 hours following application.
- If necessary, repeat from Step 2 until a chlorine residual of 1.5 – 3.0 ppm can be maintained.
Application Instructions – Initial Start-up:
- Brush all pool surfaces with the filter pump operating.
- Add 120 grams of Power Chlor per 10,000 litres of pool water.
- After one hour, test the chlorine residual with a pool test kit or test strip.
- Repeat dosage until a chlorine residual of 1.5 – 3.0 ppm is achieved.
Application Instructions – Routine Sanitation:
- Add 20 grams of Power Chlor per 10,000 litres of pool water every day or as often as needed to maintain a chlorine residual of 1.5 – 3.0 ppm.
Application Instructions – Shock:
- Add 120 grams of Power Chlor per 10,000 litres of pool water.
- Do not re-enter the pool until the chlorine residual has returned to 5.0 ppm or less.
Application Instructions – Visible Algae:
- With the filter pump operating, brush algae from all pool surfaces.
- Add 120 grams of Power Chlor per 10,000 litres of pool water.
- If live algae remains after 24 hours, repeat the treatment.
- Do not re-enter the pool until the chlorine residual has returned to 5.0 ppm or less.
- For best results, use in conjunction with MSA II Algaecide.
Application Instructions – Off-Season Maintenance:
- Add 120 grams of Power Chlor per 10,000 litres of pool water as often as is necessary to maintain a chlorine residual of at least 1.0 ppm.
- For complete off-season treatment, use in conjunction with Back-Up II Algae Inhibitor.
