Copper Cyanurate

Copper cyanurate is a violet or purple-coloured dust that may settle to the bottom of a pool. This dust bushes up very easily. Copper cyanurate is caused by copper in the pool water attaching to the cyanuric acid (stabiliser). This only occurs in the presence of high levels of stabiliser, usually in excess of 250 ppm.

  1. Vacuum the pool.
  2. Test for copper, and if present, apply Pool Magnet and Quick Clear according to label instructions.
