Super Clear Tabs are 60-gram tablets containing the proprietary clarifier Poly A 2000®. This aids in the removal of both organic and inorganic wastes by gathering together particles that can cause dull and cloudy water. The resulting aggregates are then large enough to be trapped in the filter and backwashed to waste. Whilst suitable for all filter types, they are especially designed for improving the efficiency of sand filters.
To use Super Clear Tabs:
- For best results, adjust the pH of the pool to 7.4 – 7.6.
- Backwash and/or clean the filter according to manufacturer s directions. Make sure the filter is operating properly. If the water is cloudy run the pump continuously until the water clears.
- Apply 1 Super Clear Tab per 50,000 litres to the skimmer basket.
- Once the water is crystal clear, application at every subsequent backwash should be sufficient.
- In case of higher bather loads, a second Super Clear Tab may be required.
CAUTION: Initial use of Super Clear may cause filter pressure to rise within a few hours of application. This increase is normal. Do not exceed manufacturer’s specified limits for maximum permissible filter pressure. Pressure differential and flow rate should be used to gauge the need for backwashing.
