Power Floc is a concentrated flocculant that coagulates and settles suspended particles to the bottom of the pool for easy removal with a vacuum. The greater the debris in the water, the faster Power Floc works. It works three times faster and treats twice the water volume than other flocculants, including the now superseded Liqui-Floc. Power Floc makes the water clear and sparkling and is safe for all pool types.
To use Power Floc:
- Clean the skimmer and the hair and lint pot, and backwash the filter.
- Adjust pH to 7.5 to 8.0 for best results.
- Remove any chemical products from skimmer basket.
- Shake Power Floc well before using.
- Add 60 mL of Power Floc per 10,000 litres. For extremely cloudy pools, where you can’t see the bottom of the deep end, use 120 mL per 10,000 litres.
For sand filters: With the pump on and the filter valve on Recirculate, pour Power Floc slowly into skimmer. For sand filters without a Recirculate option, clean the filter and pour Power Floc into a large pail of water (use 4 – 5 litres of water for every 60 mL of Power Floc) and apply this solution evenly over the surface of the pool.
For cartridge filters: Remove cartridge filter element from filter tank, and reassemble the filter tank without the cartridge filter. With the pump on, pour Power Floc slowly into the skimmer.
- Allow the pump to circulate for 2 hours then turn the pump off.
- After 12 – 24 hours, when all of the particulate matter has settled to the bottom of the pool, slowly vacuum to waste. CAUTION: Do not vacuum debris through the filter.
- Backwash the filter and clean with Filter Brite. After cleaning, resume a normal filter cycle.
- Check the pH and re-adjust, if needed, to 7.4 – 7.6.
